Since David had such a great experience serving on the October Celebration Committee, he volunteers to join the November Committee for World Kindness Day at Melville Elementary School. His good friend, Amazing Annabelle, is on the committee as well. David has had fond thoughts about Annabelle ever since third grade. Annabelle convinces David to join the Drama Club in her sweet, encouraging way. Miguel and Dexter end up joining too. Mrs. Phillips, the drama teacher, makes sure a great time was had by all. Melville School participates in a Kindness Kickoff assembly. The committee members are in charge, and each person is given a different speaking role. At the end of the assembly, all the students recited a kindness declaration with a catchy rhythm. All the kids are on their feet, rocking to the beat. Acts of kindness are being carried out all around the school.

Reviews:

“As an elementary school student, David’s world is mostly influenced by the school setting. David allows the reader to enter this world and to experience some of its challenges and joys. Through David’s experiences, you will share and explore personal relationships. Enjoy this engaging book.”
—Brandy Scott, retired School Superintendent

“David, the protagonist in Daring David A November to Remember, is an innovative leader among his peers. His character joins Amazing Annabelle, and together, they create a beautiful safe space for the kickoff of World Kindness Day. Daring David’s positivity impacts everyone around him, including those who may be more reserved or others who are less enthused about taking part in school activities. He is not afraid to think outside the box and to give back with acts of kindness such as volunteering at a homeless shelter. Daring David gives us the courage we need to go out and conquer the world—one kind act at a time!”
—Lana Long Louis, Fifth Grade Teacher
